Airplane maker Boeing Co. has received a $9 million order from the U.S. Navy for landing gear kits for F/A-18 A-D aircraft.
The Department of Defense announced the contract last week. The order will be completed in October 2012.
The order is for 2,936 landing gear kits that Boeing will assemble in St. Louis. The majority of the kits will go to the U.S. Navy. The rest will go to Spain, Canada, Finland, Kuwait, Switzerland, Australia and Malaysia.
