China Southern Airlines: Xiamen Air Orders 10 New Boeing 737 Jets


HONG KONG -(Dow Jones)- China Southern Airlines Co. (ZNH) said Thursday its Xiamen Airlines Co. unit agreed to buy 10 Boeing 737 aircraft, to expand the Guangzhou-based carrier's overall fleet capacity by 2.3%.

China Southern Airlines, China's largest carrier by fleet size, said in a statement the combined list price of the planes is around US$699.0 million. It didn't disclose the actual purchase price but said Boeing Co. (BA) had granted it "certain price concessions."

The Chinese carrier said it expects to take delivery of the planes from 2015 to 2016.
