Cathay Pacific, Hong Kong’s flagship carrier, will add four flights a week to Abu Dhabi from Hong Kong as part of its global expansion plan, the airline announced on Tuesday.
The move will see the carrier, which currently operates twice daily flights to Dubai, offer a total of eighteen flights a week from June 2, 2011.
“We already have a significant presence in both the Middle East and the United States, and these new destinations will help to meet demand for both business and leisure travel to and from Hong Kong,” Tony Tyler, chief executive of Cathay Pacific, said in a statement.
The service, which will be operated by an Airbus A330-300 aircraft, will depart to and from Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
