Emirates passenger traffic hit by Middle East unrest

UAE. The passenger load factors of Emirates has been affected by the unrest in the Middle East, Dow Jones reported, citing the airline's president.

Speaking to reporters in Wahington, D.C., Tim Clark, president of the Dubai-based carrier, said the percentage of seats filled has fallen to 75% from the 82% level it would have expected at this time of year.

Emirates had the 'financial reserves to absorb the hit and expects to return to an 82% load factor by April,' according to the report.
