Russian airline Aeroflot plans to create a budget airline on the basis of its merger with six smaller airlines in February
The carrier hopes to quadruple its revenues and raise passenger traffic by 2025 to 79.5 million people from a current 19.9 million.
Aeroflot’s strategy recognises that regular flights do not permit a rapid expansion of passenger traffic, said Georgy Tarakanov of VTB Capital.
Mr Tarakanov added: "A lack of pilots, planes and airport capacity will hinder the company’s plans."
