Etihad Airways, the Abu Dhabi based national airline of the UAE, started its ‘all economy’ class service from October 31, the airline confirmed.
The reconfigured Airbus A320 aircraft is now carrying 162 economy class passengers, 42 more than similar aircraft in the Etihad fleet which carry the full range of seating options.
The aircraft commened scheduled flights from Sunday October 31 to Alexandria, Colombo, Damascus, Thiruvananthapuram, Calicut and Peshawar.
In August, James Hogan, CEO of the Abu Dhabi based carrier said: "The launch of the all economy class aircraft is the beginning of a new era for Etihad."
