Tiger Airways has announced further growth in Australia, with a tenth A320 aircraft set to arrive in December. The new aircraft will allow the airline to increase flight frequencies on popular summer destinations to and from Melbourne before the busy holiday period, The Australian reported. "The 10th A320 Aircraft Australian aircraft will provide almost half a million additional low priced seats through Victoria annually and will create more than thirty new employment positions for the state," Tiger Airways Australia managing director, Crawford Rix, said. The addition is the eighth Melbourne-based aircraft on the fleet and will allow the airline to bolster services from Melbourne Airport (Tullamarine) to popular summer holiday destinations, including Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Perth and Hobart. This additional capacity expands on 400 weekly flights currently on sale to and from Victoria at Melbourne Airport (Tullamarine) and Avalon Airport. The announcement comes only a few weeks after the airline said it would suspend services from Adelaide to Brisbane and the Gold Coast from November 10, to be reinstated only if demand increased.=====================
