
MANILA, Philippines – (UPDATE) A still unidentified passenger was found dead inside the Gulf Air plane that landed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 Wednesday, authorities said.
The passenger allegedly committed suicide, NAIA 1 General Manager Octavio Villalina was quoted on Radyo Inquirer as saying, although it was not clear how the passenger died.
Senior Superintendent Danilo Abadiano, chief of NAIA-1 security, confirmed the death and said the man was found "just a few minutes ago" although he did not say how the man died.
The plane, with body number GF 154, landed at the NAIA 1 at about 11:20 a.m., the Radyo Inquirer report said.
As of posting time, the man is still inside the airplane, the report said.
